My career started off in the fast-paced world of startups as a B2B technology salesperson.

You see, I actually got my bachelor’s in English Lit! 🎓

But I bought into the myth that writing wouldn’t pay the bills, especially not in NYC! So writing remained a hobby and something I attended workshops for on the weekends.

But as I worked my way up the ranks in sales, I started playing around with automated prospecting software. I became obsessed with creating attention-grabbing subject lines and tweaking the messaging to see what worked.

Little did I know that these small moments of writing would actually have a huge impact on my career path.
