I’m Hayden Hillier-Smith. I break down what makes good editing, pulling back the curtain on how editors make the choices to keep YOU, THE AUDIENCE, engaged. I still spend lots of my time editing and lots more of my time talking and teaching editing

I was the sole editor for Logan Paul and his video blogging channel hosted online since he started until early 2022, and although I no longer work full time for Logan, I do ad-hoc projects for him still and we remain in close contact. I owe him lots for the success we jointly achieved over so many years! I will always be one of Logan’s biggest fans, and the only reason I left is that I wanted to explore more in my own way and do my own thing too!

We used to deliver daily vlogs, music videos and sketches. Some videos have achieved in excess of 100 million views of the individual production. In total, over 7 Billion views and 20 million subscribers and been achieved with Logan Paul’s unique content, all edited by myself.

I am British, born in Reading, Royal Berkshire, England and am determined to never lose my British accent!

My editing is very specialised and in 2020 I won the top award, The Streamy Award, as top global editor. I also have my own channel, dedicated to aspiring editors so I can share hints and tips, my goal is to improve the skills and quality of as many people as I can, so hopefully my channel will be useful to everyone, newbies to experienced editors.

I know many of you are thinking of an amazing business opportunity you’d like to talk to me about, or some advice you are desperate for me to help you with, but sorry, I am already maxed out with the work I have underway, and I can’t see that changing anytime soon, so please do not write to me and expect me to answer, as to be honest, I’d need a full time office staff to handle all the opportunities, suggestions, advice sought and I don’t have that.
